About Emma

Emma (she/her) is a Licensed Master Social Worker who creates a welcoming and safe space for clients to explore their lives, strengths, and challenges. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of healing and growth, meeting clients exactly where they are.

Approach to Therapy

Emma blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with strengths-based and relational approaches. She works with clients navigating anxiety, gender identity concerns, body image, religious trauma, sexuality, and relationship challenges—including non-traditional structures like ENM and polyamory. Emma balances the hard work of therapy with humor, curiosity, and moments of joy.

Education and Training

Emma earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She gained early experience in substance use facilities, peer support centers, and community mental health agencies, and developed a passion for career coaching and guiding clients toward personal growth. Emma is currently working and training under the clinical supervision of Christina Tosto.

Professional Experience

Emma has worked with diverse populations, including LGBTQIA+ youth, and has experience providing outpatient therapy across multiple settings. She creates a nonjudgmental, client-centered environment that encourages authentic self-expression and self-discovery.
