About This Course
This 2 CE course is designed for mental health professionals ready to deepen their clinical skills and expand their cultural competence. This advanced training goes beyond introductory knowledge, offering practical strategies to help clinicians confidently navigate the complexities of working with ENM and kink-identified clients. Participants will learn how to assess and therapeutically address challenges such as jealousy versus compersion, power exchange negotiations, and metamour relationship dynamics. The course also covers interventions for relationship transitions—including opening or closing relationships, navigating partner additions or losses, and supporting clients through grief. Clinicians will build competency in distinguishing normative ENM and kink practices from patterns of concern, while integrating approaches that reduce internalized shame and address minority stress.
