Nicole Cathell (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor who creates a safe, collaborative space for clients from all backgrounds, orientations, and identities. She is deeply committed to helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, work stress, trauma, and challenges in relationships. Nicole brings warmth, authenticity, and humor to therapy, helping clients feel seen and supported as they explore their emotional landscape.

Nicole uses a conversational and collaborative approach, encouraging clients to explore how their past experiences shape their present lives. She integrates trauma-informed practices and emphasizes authenticity, helping clients understand their emotions, build coping skills, and develop confidence in being themselves.

Her experience spans active duty and retired service members, adults navigating complex life challenges, and clients seeking a thoughtful, individualized approach to growth.

Education and Training

Nicole earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University. She has extensive training and experience in trauma-informed counseling, EMDR, crisis stabilization, and complex PTSD treatment.

Professional Experience

Nicole has worked across a variety of settings, including inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, outpatient, and community-based programs. She helped open and lead a Complex PTSD-specialized program, where she served as the lead clinical therapist. Her diverse clinical background informs a versatile and client-centered approach to therapy. Nicole has been a clinical supervisor since 2025.
